Joint Committee on Taxation 100th Anniversary
On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the U.S. Capitol Historical Society will celebrate the history and bipartisan accomplishments of the Joint Committee on Taxation. In 2016, the U.S. Capitol Historical Society hosted the committee’s 90th anniversary celebration. There, U.S. Capitol Historical Society President & CEO Ronald Sarasin described the committee as, “an invaluable resource for the House Ways and Means Committee, the Senate Finance Committee, other committees with input to tax legislation, and individual Members of Congress. We are proud to honor the committee’s long and important history.”
Ahead of their centennial anniversary, our fourth President and CEO the Honorable Jane L. Campbell said, “For 100 years the Joint Committee on Taxation’s non-partisan analysis provided a foundation for lawmakers working together on complex tax policy. We are honored to celebrate that work.”
We invite you to join us, and the Joint Committee on Taxation’s leadership as we celebrate this important milestone.
