Shaping the Future of Civics Education: A Conversation with U.S. Representative Chrissy Houlahan

We are excited to share a recent highlight from our ongoing efforts to advance civic education in the United States. Our Education Specialist, Eric Denyer, recently participated in a discussion about civics education during Rep. Chrissy Houlahan’s 78th town hall in Downingtown, PA.

During their conversation, Eric Denyer promoted the Society’s “We the People” Constitution Program and its important role in improving students’ understanding of the U.S. Constitution. The discussion focused on the pressing need to improve civics education nationwide and the importance of programs like ours in achieving this goal.
The “We the People” Consortium, led by the U.S. Capitol Historical Society, manages an innovative online tool – the “We the People” Constitution Hub. This hub is a public digital collection of curated Civics and History resources designed to empower students with a deeper knowledge of their civic rights and responsibilities and the Constitution’s history and practical implementation.

Your support can empower our youth with a strong foundation in American democracy. Explore the hub here and join us in promoting civic education!
