On Friday, May 8, the U.S. Capitol Historical Society and the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center present a noontime panel discussion and premiere of a video tour of the Capitol. Join USCHS President/CEO Jane Campbell and the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center team that produced this new video tour–Lauren Windham Roszak, Marcey Frutchey, and Emily Boisvert–as we explore what’s being done to continue engaging and educating the public about the Capitol and the role of the U.S. Congress during this unique time in our history. We’ll meet at noon EDT, spend about an hour together, view the video tour, and engage in a discussion and Q&A with our panel.

Speakers
Lauren Windham Roszak is the Educational Programs Manager at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. She has worked in museums, historic buildings, and cultural sites in both the U.S. and England. Lauren finds sincere enjoyment and value in her work with public and school audiences, with whom she has worked for almost 20 years. She is motivated to create museum programming in unique spaces, on difficult topics, using art and objects to tease out stories and universal themes.
Marcey Frutchey has been the Videographer at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center for the past three years. She produces video and multimedia projects highlighting the programs, activities and talented staff of the Capitol Visitor Center. She is an award-winning independent filmmaker and graduate of the Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California.
Emily C.M. Boisvert has been a Visitor Guide at the U.S. Capitol for almost 12 years. During that time, she has been instrumental in the creation and establishment of a variety of educational programs and specialty tours for the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. Throughout her 20-year career, she has worked at museums and historic sites in New England and Washington, DC and was a lecturer in museum studies at Regis College in Weston, MA. She has a M.A. in American History from the University of New Hampshire and an A.L.M. in Museum Studies from Harvard University.
